Botev Vratsa is a Bulgarian football club based in Vratsa. The club was founded in 1969 and played in the Bulgarian Second League in the 2006–07 season.
The club’s home ground is the Ludogorets Stadium, with a capacity of 28,000.
Botev Vratsa have failed to win the Bulgarian Super League or the Bulgarian Cup since they entered those competitions in 2002 and 2006 respectively, but they have reached the Bulgarian Cup semi-finals on two occasions.
In the 2007–08 season, Botev Vratsa finished in 8th place in the Bulgarian First League, qualifying for the Bulgarian Cup. In the 2008–09 season, they finished as champions of the Bulgarian First League and entered the Bulgarian Cup in the first round. They reached the semi-finals, where they lost to Ludogorets Razgrad.
The 2009–10 season started with a 0–4 home loss to Cherno More Varna in the Bulgarian Super League. In their first Bulgarian Cup game, Botev Vratsa defeated Litex Lovech 2–1. They then went on to lose their second Bulgarian Cup game 2–1 to Lokomotiv Plovdiv. In the Bulgarian Super League, they recorded a 2–2 home draw against Ludogorets Razgrad. However, they recorded a 6–1 home win against Cherno More Varna in the Bulgarian Super Cup.
In the 2010–11 season, they finished in 7th place in the Bulgarian First League, qualifying for the Bulgarian Cup. In the first round of the Bulgarian Cup, they defeated Lokomotiv Plovdiv 2–1. They then lost their second round Bulgarian Cup game 3–2 on aggregate to CSKA Sofia. In the Bulgarian Super League, they recorded a 3–1 home win against Cherno More Varna and a 1–0 away win against Ludogorets Razgrad.
In the 2011–12 season, they finished in 3rd place in the Bulgarian First League, qualifying for the Bulgarian Cup. In the first round of the Bulgarian Cup, they defeated Levski Sofia 3–1. In the second round of the Bulgarian Cup, they defeated Botev Plovdiv 2–1. In the Bulgarian Super League, they recorded a 2–0 home win against Cherno More Varna and a 1–1 away draw against Ludogorets Razgrad.
In the 2012–13 season, they finished in 8th place in the Bulgarian First League, qualifying for the Bulgarian Cup. In the first round of the Bulgarian Cup, they defeated Cherno More Varna 3–2 on aggregate. They then lost their second round Bulgarian Cup game 2–1 on aggregate to CSKA Sofia.
