Dartford Football Club is a professional football club based in Dartford, Kent, England. The club played in the Football League pyramid until they were relegated to the Isthmian League in 2010. The club’s first team play in the Conference South.
The club was formed in 1875 and played their first competitive match in the FA Cup in 1894. Dartford won the FA Cup in 1927, beating Bristol City 2–1 in the final. The club also reached the final of the Second Division in 1936, but lost 3–2 to Manchester United.
The club reached theFA Cup semi-finals in 1970 and 1988, but were defeated both times by Arsenal. Dartford reached the Conference South play-off final in 2010, but lost 1–0 to Cheltenham Town.
In May 2011, Dartford announced the signing of striker Micky Adams from Staines Town. Adams had spent the previous two seasons playing in the Norwegian Premier League for Molde.
Dartford play their home games at Stonebridge Road. The stadium has a capacity of 9,282.
