Frosinone Calcio is an Italian football club, based in Frosinone, southern region of Lazio. The club was founded in 1912 and played in Serie C for the first time in 1963. In 1994, it was relegated to Serie D, where it stayed for only two seasons. In 1997 it was promoted to Serie C2, and in 2001 it was relegated to Serie C1 after being expelled from the Italian Football Federation for financial irregularities. The club was promoted to Serie B for the first time in its history in 2007. In 2012, it was relegated to Serie C2 after finishing in last place in Serie B.
