Greuther Furth

Greuther Furth is a German football club that plays in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg. The club was founded on 12 October 1919 in Furth, and played its first game on 30 October 1919. Greuther Furth captured the Oberliga championship in 1962 and the Gauliga Südwest in 1970. In 1974, the club qualified for the newly formed Bundesliga, where they played until 1984, when they were relegated back to the Oberliga. They returned to the Bundesliga in 1988 and played there until they were relegated to the 2. Bundesliga in 2000. Greuther Furth re-qualified for the Bundesliga in 2002, but were relegated again in 2004. The club then returned to the Bundesliga for the 2005-06 season, but were relegated the following year. They returned to the Bundesliga for the 2010-11 season, but were relegated again in 2013. After spending five seasons in the 2. Bundesliga, Greuther Furth returned to the Bundesliga for the 2017-18 season.
