West Ham United Football Club is located in the London Borough of Newham, United Kingdom. The Hammers were formed in 1895, and moved to their current home ground, the Boleyn Ground in 1911. The team has played in the top division of English football for most of its existence and has won the European Cup twice, in 1960 and 1976. The club’s traditional kit colours are claret and blue. The club crest features a black and white hamster on a blue field. West Ham have a large fanbase in East London and beyond, and regularly sell out their home games.
