Worthing

The Worthing football club was formed in 1888 and played its first ever game in 1889. The club has weathered the test of time, surviving the relocation of its home ground in the 1920s and 1930s, a period of financial difficulties in the 1970s and 1980s, and a period of league restructuring in the 1990s. The club has enjoyed recent success, winning the Sussex County League Division One in 2007, earning promotion to the Isthmian League, and winning the Isthmian League Division One title in 2009. The club is currently playing in the Isthmian League Premier Division. The Worthing football club has a long and proud history, and its supporters are passionate about the club and its players.
