The football club Yverdon-les-Bains was founded in 1895. The club plays in the Challenge National, the fourth tier of French football.

The club has a long history of success, most notably winning the French Cup in 1987. In recent years the club has had some more mixed fortunes, playing in the lower divisions of French football. Currently the club is in the Ligue 2, the fourth tier of French football.
