Algeria is a football federation in North Africa. The team has qualified for the World Cup finals tournament on five occasions, but has never progressed beyond the group stage. They made their Africa Cup of Nations debut in 1957 and have since won the tournament on three occasions, in 1991, 1998, and 2018. Algeria also reached the quarter-finals of the 1986 World Cup and the semi-finals of the 1998 World Cup.
