Limassol

Apollon Limassol Football Club, commonly referred to as Apollon Limassol, is a professional football club based in Limassol, Cyprus. They play in the Cypriot First Division and have played in the Cypriot First Division since it was established in 1988. The club also has two Cypriot Cup titles and one Cypriot Super Cup title. The colours of the club are blue and white.

The club was founded in 1988 and played in the amateur system until the early 1990s. In the early 1990s they joined the then newly formed Cypriot First Division. They finished in fourth place in their first season and made their European debut in the UEFA Cup in the 1992–93 season. They reached the second round, where they lost to Viatorul Constanţa.

They finished in first place in the 1993–94 season and reached the final of the Cypriot Cup, where they lost to APOEL Nicosia. In the 1994–95 season, they reached the UEFA Cup semi-finals, where they lost to Atlético Madrid. They also reached the semi-finals of the Cypriot Cup that season.

In the 1995–96 season, they finished in fourth place in the Cypriot League and did not qualify for the UEFA Cup. In the 1996–97 season, they finished in second place in the Cypriot League and reached the UEFA Cup semi-finals, where they lost to Valencia.

In the 1998–99 season, they finished in third place in the Cypriot League and qualified for the UEFA Champions League. They reached the group stage, where they lost to Juventus. In the 2001–02 season, they finished in first place in the Cypriot League, qualifying for the UEFA Champions League for the first time. They reached the group stage, where they lost to Manchester United.

In the 2003–04 season, they finished in third place in the Cypriot League and did not qualify for the UEFA Champions League. In the 2004–05 season, they finished in second place in the Cypriot League and qualified for the UEFA Champions League. They reached the group stage, where they lost to Liverpool.

They finished in first place in the 2005–06 season and qualified for the UEFA Champions League for the first time. They reached the group stage, where they lost to Liverpool. They also reached the final of the Cypriot Cup that season, where they lost to Dunavants Larissa.

In the 2007–08 season, they finished in third place in the Cypriot League and did not qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
