Ceara Football Club, popularly known as Ceara, is a Brazilian association football club based in the town of Fortaleza, Ceara state. Ceara play in the Brazilian Série A. The club was founded on March 12, 1908 and has played in the top flight of Brazilian football since 1975. Ceara have won the Campeonato Cearense on five occasions, most recently in 2003. Ceara are the only Brazilian club to have won all three major Brazilian club competitions: the Copa do Brasil, the Copa Preta (now Copa do Brasil Second Level) and the Primeira Liga. The club’s home ground is the Estádio do Areia Branca.
