FC Hermannstadt

FC Hermannstadt is a Romanian football club based in Hermannstadt. Formed in 1909, the club plays in the Liga II, the second-highest football league in Romania. Hermannstadt has never been relegated from the Liga II and has qualified for the Romanian Cup every year since 1988. In the Romanian Cup, Hermannstadt reached the semifinals in 1995, 2006, and 2007, but was eliminated on each occasion by eventual champions Dinamo București. The club also reached the Romanian Cup finals in 1984 and 2002, but was defeated by FC Botosani and FC Astra Giurgiu, respectively.
