Feirense

Feirense S.C. is a Portuguese football club based in the city of Feira de Santana. The team plays in the Primeira Liga and competes in the Taça de Portugal. Feirense was founded on 5 September 1928, and played its first competitive match in the regional championship on 25 September 1928. Feirense first reached the Primeira Liga in 1951 and played in the top flight of Portuguese football until 1974, when they were relegated. The team bounced back up to the Primeira Liga in 2000 and has remained there since then. Feirense has reached the Taça de Portugal final on five occasions, most recently in 2010, where they lost to Gil Vicente.
