Gillingham Football Club is a professional association football club based in the town of Gillingham, Kent, England. The club was founded in 1879 and has played its home games at the Priestfield Stadium since 1922. Gillingham entered the Football League in 1920, and achieved promotion to the Premier League in 2006. In the 2014–15 season, Gillingham achieved their first major trophies by winning the League One championship and the Football League Trophy.
