Groningen is a football club from Groningen, in the northeast of the Netherlands. The club was formed on 15 April 1926 and played its first official game on the 24 April 1926. Groningen play their home games at the Ronda Stadion and have played in the Eredivisie since the 1978–79 season. The club’s colours are red and white.
