The Huracan football club is a professional football club from the city of Monterrey, in the north-eastern Mexican state of Nuevo León.
The club was founded on 10 March 1930, and currently plays in the Liga MX, the top tier of Mexican football.
Huracan is one of the most successful Mexican football clubs of all time, having won 16 titles in the Liga MX, including nine in a row between 2002 and 2006, as well as six Copa MX titles. They are also the most successful Mexican club in terms of international competition, having reached the CONCACAF Champions League final on three occasions (1998, 2002, and 2013), as well as the semi-finals on another two occasions (2007 and 2011).
The team plays its home matches at the Estadio BBVA Bancomer, which has a capacity of 68,000.
