Maldonado FC is a football club located in Maldonado, Uruguay. The club was founded on December 1, 1924 and currently plays in the Uruguayan top division, the Primera División. Maldonado has won the Uruguayan national championship twice, in 1951 and 1966. The club also reached the Copa Libertadores final in 2000, but lost to Brazilian side Cruzeiro. Maldonado also won the Uruguayan amateur championship in 1985 and 1991.
