Nimes Football Club is a French association football club based in Nimes. The club was founded in 1976 and played its first competitive match in 1977. The club was relegated from the Championnat National in 1995, but returned to the top division in 2002. The club reached the French Cup final in 2013, but was defeated 3–1 by Paris Saint-Germain. The club plays its home matches at the Stade La Renaissance.
