Town
Northampton Town Football Club is a professional association football club based in the town of Northampton, England. The club was formed in 1897 and played its first competitive match in 1899. The club played in several divisions of English football until it reached the Football League in 1920. It stayed in the Football League until 2007, when it was relegated to the Football Conference. The club regained its Football League status in 2013 after winning the Conference league. Northampton Town plays its home matches at the Sixfields Stadium.
