Oliveirense FC is a Portuguese football club based in the city of Oliveira de Frades. The club was founded on 14 October 1907, and played its first competitive match in 1912. Oliveirense played its first European match in the 1962–63 European Cup Winners’ Cup, reaching the group stage. The club finished as runners-up in the 1981–82 Primeira Liga, after competing in the national championship for 41 seasons. In 1986, Oliveirense were relegated to the second division, but returned to the Primeira Liga after two seasons. In the 2006–07 season, Oliveirense reached the semi-finals of the Taça de Portugal, eventually losing to Vitória de Setúbal.
The club’s home ground is the Estádio Conde de Valadares, with a capacity of 10,000. Oliveirense is the most successful Portuguese club in terms of trophies, with 27. The club’s greatest achievement came in the 1981–82 Primeira Liga, where they finished as runners-up, after competing in the national championship for 41 seasons.
