Olympiacos Piraeus, also known as PAO or Olympiacos, is a professional Greek football club, based in Piraeus, Athens. The club was formed in 1898 and has played its home games at the Olympic Stadium since 1923. Olympiacos have won 15 Greek Cups, 11 Greek League championships, and the UEFA Champions League in 1974. The club’s international successes include appearing in the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup in 1955 and 1986 and the UEFA Cup in 1974 and 1986. Olympiacos are the only Greek football club to have ever reached the final of the European Cup. They ended their long drought in the 2007–08 UEFA Cup against Barcelona, and again in the 2016–17 UEFA Champions League against Manchester United.
