Partick Thistle Football Club is currently playing in the Scottish Premiership. The club was founded in 1904 and currently consists of a senior men’s team, a women’s team and a juvenile team. The club’s home ground is Firhill Stadium, which has a capacity of 10,821.
Notable former Partick Thistle players include Jock Stein, Denis Law, Davie Cooper and Jim Thomson. The club lifted the Scottish Cup in 1924, but have not managed to win the Premier League or the Scottish Cup since. The club’s most successful period came in the 1950s and 1960s, when they won the Scottish League twice and the Scottish Cup once.
