Peterhead Football Club, or simply Peterhead, is a Scottish football club, based in Peterhead, Aberdeenshire. The club was formed in 1878 and play in the Scottish Third Division.

The club played in the Scottish Cup in 1894, 1896 and 1897. The club also competed in the Scottish League Cup in 1904, 1911, 1928 and 1929, and the Scottish Cup Winners’ Cup in 1902 and 1910. Peterhead reached the semifinal of the Amateur Cup in 1906. In 1909, the club played in the Scotland- England football match in London. In 1924, the club merged with Peterhead Thistle, with the new club occupying Peterhead Thistle’s ground.

In 1954, Peterhead reached the final of the Scottish Supplementary Cup, losing 2–0 to Stenhousemuir. The following year, the club won the Scottish Second Division title, their first league championship. In 1968, the club were admitted to the Scottish Football League. In 1973, they were relegated to the Scottish Third Division (the bottom tier of the Scottish football league system). In 1978, Peterhead reached the Scottish Cup final, but lost 2–0 to Celtic. The following year, Peterhead won the Scottish Fourth Division title, their first title in the top tier of the Scottish football league system. In 1983, Peterhead were promoted to the Scottish Premier Division.

The club suffered financial difficulties in the 1990s and were placed in administration in 1992. In 1998, they were relegated to the Scottish Second Division. However, they were promoted back to the Scottish Premier Division in 2002. In 2005–06, the club finished third in the Scottish Premier Division, qualifying for the UEFA Cup. In the 2006–07 season, Peterhead finished third again in the Scottish Premier Division and reached the Scottish Cup semi-finals. The following season, Peterhead finished second in the Scottish Premier Division and reached the Scottish League Cup final, losing 3–1 to Dundee United. In the 2010–11 season, Peterhead finished third in the Scottish Premier Division and reached the Scottish Cup final again, this time losing 2–1 to Hibernian. The club finished second in the Scottish Premier Division in the 2013–14 season and reached the Scottish League Cup final, but lost 1–0 to Celtic. In the 2014–15 season, Peterhead finished fifth in the Scottish Premier Division and were relegated to the Scottish Championship. In the 2017–18 season, the club finished third in the Scottish Championship, qualifying for the Scottish Premiership.

Peterhead play their home matches at the Bayview Stadium, which has a capacity of 4,128. The club’s colours are black and white.
