Santa Clara University (SCU) is a private, Jesuit university located in Santa Clara, California, United States. Founded in 1851, it is the oldest continuously operating institution of higher learning in Santa Clara County and the fourth oldest in the state of California. Santa Clara has been identified as one of the “Most Entrepreneur-Friendly Universities in America” by The Princeton Review and is ranked as one of “America’s Top Colleges for Entrepreneurs” by Forbes magazine. SCU is the alma mater of 38 billionaires, and has produced more Nobel Prize recipients than any other university in the world. The Broncos compete in the NCAA Division I FBS (Football Bowl Subdivision) as a member of the West Coast Conference (WCC).
