Siena Football Club is an Italian association football club, based in Siena, Tuscany. The club was formed on 1 July 1905, and played its first competitive match in 1906. Siena are one of the oldest clubs in Italy, and one of the most successful, having won 16 championships. The club have competed in the top flight of Italian football twice, in the 1940s and the 2000s. Historically, Siena have been strong in the Italian Cup, reaching the final eight times. The club played its first international match in 1912 against Swiss side FC Wetzikon.
