St. Truiden

St. Truiden is a football club from the Belgian city of Liège. The team plays in the Belgian First Division A. The club was formed in 1892 and played its first official game in 1893. The club’s colours are blue and white. It has played at its current home ground, the Meir stadium, since 1916. The club’s biggest success came in the 1930s, when it won the Belgian championship twice. In the 1970s, St. Truiden reached the Belgian cup final, but they were beaten by Cercle Brugge. The club’s most recent success came in the 2010–11 season, when it reached the Belgian cup final, but they were beaten by Anderlecht.
