The football club Tirol was founded in 2006. The club currently plays in the Austrian Football Bundesliga. Tirol has never had much success in the Austrian Football Bundesliga, but has made some progress in the past few seasons. The club has a strong supporter base, and has played in front of capacity crowds in the past.
