Tondela is a Portuguese football club based in the city of Tondela. The club was formed in 1920 and played its first ever competitive match in the season 2009–10, entering the second division. The club played in the top division of Portuguese football for the first time in the season 2013–14, and achieved promotion to the Primeira Liga.
