Telford United Football Club is an English football club based in Telford, Shropshire, who play in League Two. The club was formed in 1884 and played in the Southern League for most of their history, before being elected to the Football League in 1920. Telford were relegated from the Football League in 1936 and spent the next thirty-eight years in the lower divisions of the Football League, winning the Welsh Cup in 1962. In 1986, they were promoted to the Football League Second Division and reached the First Division in 1998. They were relegated in 2000 and reached the Third Division in 2007. Telford were promoted to League Two in 2013 and reached the Play-Offs in their first season in the Football League. They lost in the Play-Off Final to Swindon Town.
