Barnet Football Club is a professional football club based in Barnet, Hertfordshire, England. The club was founded in 1889 and play in League Two, the fourth tier of English football. The club’s home ground is The Hive, which has a capacity of 3,500. Barnet were founding members of the Football League in 1888 and remained in the second division until winning the division in 1911. The club reached the FA Cup semi-finals in 1909 and 1912 and finished as runners-up in 1924 and 1953. Barnet were relegated from the Football League in 1986 and went bankrupt in 1993 before being re-formed in 1999. The club reached the Football League Trophy final in 2004, but lost 1–0 to Gateshead.
