Bordeaux Football Club is a French football club based in the city of Bordeaux. The club was formed in 1904 and played its first competitive match in 1904. Bordeaux has won the Ligue 1 championship on five occasions (1936, 1937, 1978, 1979, 2004) and the Coupe de France twice (1971, 2004). The club has also been runner-up in the UEFA Cup twice (1986, 2007).
