Celta Vigo

Celta Vigo (Valencia, Spain), more commonly known as Celta, is an Spanish football club based in Valencia. The club was formed in 1902 and played its first competitive match in the year 1902. Celta played its first season in La Liga in 1928–29. The team finished in 14th position in La Liga that season. Celta played in the Second Division in 1929–30 and the club finished in 4th position. They played in the First Division in 1930–31 and finished in 2nd position. In 1931–32, the club played in the European Cup. They played Belgian side RSC Anderlecht and the match ended in a 2–2 draw. They also played French side Olympique de Marseille and lost the match 2–1. Celta played in the Copa del Generalísimo in 1933 and they lost the trophy to Atlético Madrid. The club played in the Second Division in 1934–35 and finished in 11th position. Celta Vigo played in the Copa del Generalísimo in 1935 and they lost the trophy to Sevilla.
