Cienciano, also known as “The Whites”, is a Brazilian football club based in Cienciano, Paraná. The club participated in the Copa do Brasil for the first time in the 2007 edition, where they reached the second stage. They also competed in the Copa Libertadores for the first time in 2007, where they were eliminated in the first stage. In the 2013 Copa Sudamericana, they reached the semi-finals, where they were eliminated by Lanús.
In 2007, the club finished in second place in the Campeonato Paranaense, behind Corinthians. Cienciano qualified for the Copa do Brasil for the first time. They were eliminated in the second stage.
