The club, Como, was established in 1892. Between 1895 and 1896 the club competed in the regional Italian Football Championship. Como has had a long and successful history in Italian football. The club has appeared in the Serie A eleven times, most recently in the 2010–11 season. Como also reached the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia in 1959 and the final of the same competition in 1984. The club colours are green and white.
