Rovers

The town of Doncaster, Yorkshire, is home to Doncaster Rovers Football Club, one of the oldest professional football clubs in England. The club was formed in 1879 and played its earliest matches at the Old Park Ground. Rovers joined the Football League in 1892 and have since played at different grounds including Belle Vue, Belle Vue II, New Road and Keepmoat Stadium. The club reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup in 1954 and the League Cup in 1972. Rovers play in the Championship and head coach Simon Grayson has guided the club to fourth place in the table at the end of the 2016/2017 season.
