Dortmund is a football club from Dortmund, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The club was formed in 1909 in Dortmund, as Westdeutscher Turn-Verein Dortmund. They changed their name to Borussia Dortmund in 1913. Borussia Dortmund were two-time winners of the German Football Championship, in 1974 and 1975. The club has also won the UEFA Champions League twice, in 1997 and 2005. Dortmund play in the Bundesliga, the top tier of German football.
