CF
Elche CF is a football club from the Spanish city of Alicante. It was founded on June 23, 1928, and currently plays in Segunda División, holding home matches at Elche CF Stadium. Elche CF was promoted for the first time ever to La Liga in 2007. They finished the season in 14th place, qualifying for the 2008–09 UEFA Europa League. They were drawn against Scottish club Hibernian, but lost 2–0 on aggregate. After the season, Elche CF sold striker Roberto Soldado to Valencia CF and defender Moises Muniti to Villarreal CF.
