Hampton & Richmond

Hampton & Richmond Football Club is one of the oldest and most decorated amateur football clubs in Virginia. The club was founded in 1902 and has fielded teams in the local Alexandria-Richmond area since 1909. The club enjoyed a resurgence in the 1990s, when it fielded teams in the Mid-Eastern Football League (MEFL) and the Peninsula Football League (PFL). Hampton & Richmond currently competes in the Virginia Amateur Football Association (VAFA) state level. The club’s most successful seasons came in the 1990s, when it won three MEFL championships and one PFL championship. Hampton & Richmond’s home field is James T. Vaughn Stadium in Surry County.
