Hemel Hempstead Town Football Club is a professional football club based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, England. The club is currently playing in the Southern League Premier Division. The club was formed in 1885 and played in the Southern League from 1907 to 1992, when they were promoted to Division One. The club finished as runners-up in Division One in 1985–86 and were promoted to Division Two. The club were relegated back to Division Two in 2001–02 and were promoted back to Division One in 2003–04. The club were relegated back to Division Two in 2014–15 and were promoted back to Division One in 2016–17. The club reached the final of the FA Vase in 2017, where they lost 2–1 to Altrincham.
