Ipswich Town Football Club is an English football club based in Ipswich, Suffolk. The club was formed in 1901 and played its first ever match in 1902. The club played in the Southern League from 1902 to 1967 and in the Eastern League from 1968 to 1986. The club reached the FA Cup Semifinals in 1950 and the FA Cup Final in 1971. The club was relegated from the Premier League in 2001. The club played in the Football League Two from 2003 to 2006 and in the Football League One from 2007 to 2012. The club was relegated to the Football League Two in 2012 and relegated to the Football League One in 2017. Ipswich Town play their home games at the Portman Road Stadium.
