Luton Town Football Club is a professional football club based in Luton, Bedfordshire, England. The club was formed in 1897 and played its first ever game in October 1897. The club reached the Football League in 1920, and played in the top division for most of the next four decades. In 1987 Luton Town were relegated to the third tier, but recovered to win promotion to the second tier in 1995. In 2006 Luton Town were promoted to the Premier League, and have been in the top division ever since. The club has been relegated twice from the Premier League, in 2013 and 2016. The club’s home ground is the Bobby Robson stadium.
