Nantes F.C. is a French football club that was founded in 1906. The club is based in the city of Nantes and plays in Ligue 1. Nantes has won the French cup on four occasions, most recently in 2011. The club also won the Coupe de France in 1976 and 1984. Nantes also reached the final of the UEFA Champions League in 1997, but they were defeated by Bayer Leverkusen.
