The football club Pergolettese, based in Pergoletto, is a professional Italian football club founded in 1924. The club plays in the Serie C, the fourth tier of Italian football.

The club has played in the top tier of Italian football twice, in 1969–70 and 2001–02 season. It has also competed in the UEFA Cup twice, in 1986–87 and 1997–98. The club has also played in the Italian Cup a total of ten times, most recently in the 2015–16 edition.

Pergolettese was founded on 23 October 1924 and played in the regional leagues until it was promoted to the fourth division in 1967. The club played all its home games at the StadioSan Paolo, until the stadium was closed for construction of the new Olimpico stadium. The team finished second in Serie C in the 1967–68 season and promoted to Serie B. The club played in Serie B for two seasons, but relegated back to Serie C in 1969.

In Serie C, Pergolettese finished second in 1972 and promoted to Serie A. In Serie A, the club finished ninth in 1972, eighth in 1973 and sixth in 1974. In 1975, Parma purchased the club and the team played in Serie B for the next three seasons. Pergolettese finished first in the 1976–77 season and promoted to Serie A for the first time. The club played in Serie A for six seasons, finishing in the top six each year.

In the 1982–83 season, Pergolettese finished third in Serie A and won the playoffs to qualify for the UEFA Cup. The club played in the Cup Winners’ Cup, but lost in the first round to eventual champions Feyenoord. In the 1983–84 season, Pergolettese finished second in Serie A and qualified for the UEFA Cup. The club played in the Cup Winners’ Cup, but lost in the first round to Brussel’s RSC Anderlecht.

In the 1986–87 season, Pergolettese finished fourth in Serie A and qualified for the UEFA Cup. The club played in the Cup Winners’ Cup, but lost in the first round to eventual champions Barcelona. In the 1987–88 season, Pergolettese finished first in Serie A and won the playoffs to qualify for the UEFA Cup. The club played in the Cup Winners’ Cup, but lost in the first round to eventual champions Atlético Madrid.

In the 1997–98 season, Pergolettese finished second in Serie A and qualified for the UEFA Cup. The club played in the Cup Winners’ Cup, but lost in the first round to eventual champions Borussia Dortmund.
