UD Ibiza is a Spanish football club, based in the Balearic Islands. They play in the Segunda División B, holding home games at the Estadio Ibiza-Arenas, with a capacity of 4,500.
UD Ibiza was founded on 26 January 1959, as Unión Deportiva Ibiza. The club has spent its entire history in the second division, except for a three-year spell in the top flight in the late 1990s. UD Ibiza’s most successful period has been in the late 1990s and early 2000s, when they finished third in the Segunda División in 1998 and 2001, and were promoted to the Primera División for the first time in their history, as champions of the Segunda División B. However, they were relegated back to the Segunda División at the end of their first season in the top division. UD Ibiza has also reached the Copa del Rey final twice, in 1999 and 2002, without ever winning it.
